Spring Birdwatching Walks

April to May is the ideal time to see birds at close quarters and the best way to find them is to go out in a small group with an experienced local guide.

All our walks start from Trendlebere Down (lower car park) at 9.30 a.m. and have a maximum of six people but you must book in advance (ring Phil Page on Tel: 0785 8421 148 or e-mail to : enquiries@dartmoornaturetours.co.uk).

Cost is £5.00 per head for a 3 hour walk.

The Lavender House Hotel, Ashburton

A relaxing three-night (Tuesday evening – Friday morning), mid-week break for ramblers and nature lovers of all ages. These easy-going walks run throughout the year and are designed to provide breath-taking views surrounded by wildlife and history.

Cost is £180 per person with 3 nights for the price of two and includes evening meal, breakfast (local transport). Set in three acres the Lavender House enjoys panoramic views of Dartmoor National Park and is just one mile from the popular Stannary Town of Ashburton.
